Our Mission
Fylite exists to provide powerful file tools without the usual nonsense. No forced sign-ups. No artificial daily limits on free tools. No subscription traps for basic functionality.
We believe file operations like merging PDFs, resizing images, or converting formats shouldn't cost money or compromise privacy for basic use. These are fundamental digital tasks that should be accessible to everyone.
We offer two approaches: browser-based tools that process files locally on your device (maximum privacy), and server-based tools for operations requiring more computing power (files temporarily uploaded, automatically deleted within 30 minutes).
How Fylite Works
Fylite offers two types of processing: Most tools run entirely in your browser. Processing happens on your device using your computing power. This means: Advanced tools requiring significant computing power or specialized processing run on our servers. When you use these tools: Each tool is clearly labeled as browser-based or server-based. Why Is It Free?
Fylite's core tools are free, supported by advertising. Browser-based tools cost almost nothing to run—no expensive servers needed. Server-based tools have infrastructure costs covered by ads.
We may introduce optional premium features for power users who need advanced capabilities. Core functionality remains free. We don't do bait-and-switch pricing where free tiers are deliberately frustrating.
No Account Required
You'll never see a login prompt on Fylite for basic usage. We don't want your email address for standard features. We don't need to track your usage across sessions. We don't send newsletters.
This isn't an oversight—it's intentional. Account systems primarily exist to build marketing databases and create lock-in. Neither serves users. When you need to merge PDFs, you shouldn't need another account with another password.
